Home port for Sojourners, and glad of it.
A modest waystation system that has become an informal home base for Sojourner crews specifically — one of the few fringe systems reachable by a Leviathan whose migratory pattern is understood well enough to plan a life around. Welcoming, self-sufficient, proud of it.
Exports seafood and aquaculture goods, carried out entirely by Sojourner crews since there's no gate; imports parts and manufactured goods the same way. Entirely dependent on wake-riders for outside contact — a dependency the locals have built an entire culture and economy around, rather than resenting it.
Poor to middling, isolated but stable.
Anchorage Town keeps unusually detailed logs of “their” Leviathan's behavior and migration pattern — the closest thing to real data on Leviathan behavior anywhere in the Fray. Ophira's Archive, among others, would pay very well for access.
